Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation

Vision is not how well you see. It’s how you see well.

The Padula Institute of Vision is a center of excellence providing neuro-optometric rehabilitation for children and adults who experience visual challenges from neurologically based events

Meet Dr. Padula.

About the Institute

A new approach is in sight.

For those who experience neurological challenges and visual impairment, who in turn struggle with dizziness, vertigo, light sensitivity, anxiety and panic attacks.

In addition, low vision rehabilitation is offered to serve those who have a vision impairment caused by macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes and more. Often persons who have these types of problems will have vision difficulties that interfere with reading and learning.

You’re in the right place. We can work with you.

Early detection of neuro-optometric challenges is crucial for improving patient outcomes and quality of life. When these issues are identified sooner, it allows for timely intervention that can prevent the progression of symptoms, minimize the impact on daily activities, and enhance overall visual function. Conditions like traumatic brain injury, stroke, or neurological disorders often affect the visual system, leading to difficulties in balance, coordination, and even cognitive function.

Early identification of neuro-optometric challenges empowers patients and their families to make an informed decision about their care.

Hear It First-Hand From Successful Patients

“Padula Institute really understands how Lyme affects the body. The prisms helped and I don’t bump into walls or people anymore. I read better.”

“[I was impressed with] how knowledgeable and sensitive the doctors were about my conditions. I bounced from neurologist to neurologist before Padula Institute without any result.”

“Patience, understanding and high level of expertise [and I would highly recommend Padula Institute to others].”

“[I needed] vision processing support specific to dyslexia. Considerable reading attention issues. [What stood out to me was Padula’s] attention to detail and comprehensive evaluation and the information that more can be done to support improvement.”

“Padula Institute has comprehensive support. There are so many physical things that relate to vision processing  (i.e walking gait). So far, eye stability has improved.”

“[I’d recommend Padula Institute for their] patient care and expertise in vision and how it correlates to the brain. I can walk without falling to the right! Thank you so much for everything. Dr. Sayyed.”
